R-57-10 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON NAMING A BALL FIELD AT ELIZABETH <br />DAVIS PARK IN HONOR OF JERRY & SHEILA RIOS <br />WHEREAS, City Council Resolution R-86-09 sets forth policy for the <br />application process to attach a name to City parks, park features, and community <br />facilities, and the processing of such applications, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City has received such an application, which has been <br />processed in accordance with Resolution R-86-09, and; <br />WHEREAS, this application calls for the naming of a ball field at Elizabeth <br />Davis Park, in honor of Jerry & Sheila Rios, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Recreation & Parks Commission, in consideration of <br />this application at their meeting of July 21, 2010, voted 5-0 in favor of the <br />recommendation as called -for in this application, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received this application, as well as the <br />supporting recommendation of the Recreation & Parks Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton hereby declares that the <br />northeastern or "B" ball field within Elizabeth Davis Park shall be named "Jerry <br />& Sheila Rios Field." <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 2010. <br />ATTEST: <br />EILEEN C.
