In addition, each member of the <br />City council shall receive an auto allowance of two hundred and <br />twenty dollars ($220) per month." <br />Section 2. Moor. Section 2.12.050 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby deleted <br />in its entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />"2.12.050 Mayor. <br />The salary of the mayor of the city is fixed at four hundred dollars <br />($400) per month. In addition, the mayor shall receive an auto <br />allowance of two hundred and twenty dollars ($220) per month" <br />Section 3. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br />application, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are severable. The City Council <br />hereby declares that it would have adopted this Ordinance irrespective of the invalidity of any <br />particular portion thereof. <br />Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days <br />after its adoption, in accordance with the provisions of California law, but the Mayor and City <br />Council will voluntarily reduce their auto allowances effective March 1, 2011. <br />Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall <br />cause the same or a summary thereof to be published in accordance with California law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, this 15th day of March, 2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />EILEEN C.
