The quantity and sizes ar(, proJected by the City Electrical Engineer as plans are submitted for new development and replacement transformers are needed. 01-1 April 11. 1991. we advertised for sealed bids for some of these requirements. Bid opening was held at- 2:30 P.M.. April 29, i9191 in the General Services office. Five bids were recelved and evaluated. STA'FEMENT (.)r 'PHE PROBL04: NONE ALTERNATIVES:- NONE FINANCIAL IMPACT A Bid Analysis is attached showing price and delivery cp-ioted by each vendor, with the recommended vendor's price underlined for each transformer. The total of bid award is listed at the bottom for each vendor. Also attached, is a T'ransformer Load Loss Evaluation, which was prepared on the computer. This evaluation shows the true co --'t of the transformer over its useful 'lifetime, using a combination of load calculations supplied by t -he transfiormer manufacturer and unit prices quoted by the vendor. 7 -be resuit of this evaluation determines the recommended vendor. The lowest evaivated cost -for each transformer is underlined. RECOMMENDKJON Staff recommends that bid award by made to WESCO Utility in the amount of $38,575.37, G.E.
