Proclamation <br />P E A C E D A Y <br />J' May 19, 1991 fill, r� <br />WHEREAS, the people of our nation and throughout the world <br />have long waited for the day when universal peace is <br />a reality and citizens from all nations live together <br />in a true spirit of cooperation, understanding and ' <br />i <br />i <br />brotherhood; and, <br />t WHEREAS, each year, the citizens of the United States have <br />demonstrated their commitment to this lofty ideal by \\ <br />participating in vigils for peace on Peace Day held <br />throughout our nation; and, <br />WHEREAS, all citizens can be a part of the peacemaking process <br />through their daily actions and commitment to pro- <br />�,�, moting peace in our world, for only by striving to <br />i achieve peace among all people and nations can we <br />P P AIL <br />help preserve our world for future generations to <br />enjoy; and, <br />AS the dream of peace and freedom <br />� WHERE fdm remains alive and <br />r--'� vibrant, as the social and political climate of our <br />world continues to be altered by people and nations <br />�f seeking liberty and the right of self government; and,`' '\ <br />WHEREAS, it is important that all citizens take this oppor- <br />ti <br />tunity to rededicate themselves to a world free from <br />violence, terrorism and war and work to build all <br />'-A relationships on a solid foundation of peace. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Z, Frank A.
