Miscellaneous <br />Twice honored by, Senator Ruben Ayala for his work with underprivileged youth (1979 & 1983) <br />1974 The Los Padrinos, Community Recognition Award. <br />Finally, Savas served on the Advisory Parish Council at San Salvador Catholic Church, was a World War H <br />Veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post 754 and was a Lifetime Member <br />of the Wilson School PTA. <br />Savas was married to his wife Elsie for 49 years and was the father of three children, Cecilia Huerta, Christine <br />Granillo and Patrick Robledo. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Council posthumously honor Mr. Savas Robledo for his years of service and <br />dedication to the Community's Youth and to the Sport of Boxing by renaming the Colton Boxing Gym to the <br />Savas Robledo Boxing Gym. <br />Report Prepared by Daryl J.
