CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of February 2, 1993 <br />TO: Honorable Mal <br />a r d City Council <br />FROM: a Manager <br />SUBJECT.- � Commissioner Appointment Ordinances/Fee Resolution <br />As you directed at the Special Meeting of the City Council held on January 12, 1993, we have <br />prepared the attached ordinances and fee resolution. The first ordinance adds anew chapter <br />to the Colton Municipal Code to address how all commission appointments, with the exception <br />of the Library Board of Trustees, are to be made. The second ordinance, relating only to the <br />Mobilehome Rent review Commission, establishes specific requirements for members of that <br />Commission that are in addition to the general requirements set forth in the first ordinance. <br />The fee resolution, in accord with the provisions of the first ordinance, establishes <br />compensation to be paid to members of theCity's Commissions and Committees at the rate of <br />$25.00 per meeting. Because of certain statutory requirements a maximum of $50.00 per <br />month for meetings attended by members of the Library Board is also established. <br />The Council also directed the City Attorney to make certain revisions to the Colton Municipal <br />Code Sections relation to the duties of the Planning commission. In the interests of time, such <br />revisions will be presented at a later date so that the appointment mechanism may be <br />implemented as soon as possible. <br />f <br />
