FIVE BIN TRUCK MOUNT SIDE DUMP <br />RECYCLING BODY AND COMPACTOR UNIT <br />Bid Specifications: <br />Intent <br />The City of Colton is seeking to purchase a truck mounted five <br />bin, side dump unit, with plastic compactor unit. This vehicle <br />will be used in a curbside recycling pick-up program.. The <br />specifications for the completed unit may not mention standard <br />brand features, but these features must be included if they are <br />part of the regular product and/or required to make a finished <br />and ready -to -work product. <br />Detailed Minimum Specifications <br />EXCEPTIONS: The bidder must list any exceptions (major or minor) <br />to the specifications. The bidder must prove "an equal" in <br />writing with literature and specifications. This information <br />must be in the bid package and cannot be supplied at a later <br />date. <br />QU,OT" <br />GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />1. Five (5) bin side dump recycling truck unit, with a plastic <br />� r compactor unit. <br />2. Cab and Chassis: <br />a. Frame Length - A 24011 frame length is required from <br />back of cab to end of frame. <br />b. Wheelbase 21811 minimum. <br />C. Front Axle 11,000 lbs. minimum, leaf springs, heavy <br />duty shocks. <br />d. Rear Axle - 21,000 lbs. minimum. <br />e. Frame - Hi-tensil steel; 1,900,000 RBM (110,000 PSI) <br />minimum. <br />f. Brakes - Full air system with 12.0 CFM Bendix <br />Compressor minimum. <br />9- Emergency Brake Syste - Shall automatically actuate <br />upon loss of reservoir air pressure. <br />h.
