Lavin, Water Utilities Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Contract for the Rehabilitation <br />of Katz Well, Project No. PW90-1 to SOCAL <br />Pump and Well Services in the Amount of $54,363 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Date; June 8, 1993 <br />The Katz Well was donated to the City of Colton by the developer of the property on <br />Cooley Drive. The Katz Well was used as an irrigation well and needs to be <br />rehabilitated before it can be used as a domestic well. <br />DISCUSSION• <br />On June 7, 1993 staff received two bids for the rehabilitation of the Katz Well. The <br />bid analysis is attached. The State Health Department required a sanitary seal on the <br />Katz Well, and this item was included as a bid alternative. Sufficient funds exist in <br />the Water Capital Improvement Account No. 21-9922-89. <br />RECOMMENDATION• <br />Staff recommends that council award the rehabiliation f the Katz Well to SOCAL Pump <br />and Well Services in the amount of $54,363. <br />LJ/lj <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of <br />Item No. <br />
