marquette
electronics
April 21, 1993
Colton Fire Department
303 E. East Street
Colton, CA 92324
Dear Sir:
Marquette Electronics, Inc.
8200 West Tower Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53223 U.S.A.
Tel. (414) 355-5000, TLX: 297991 MEI UR, FAX: 355-3790
Marquette Electronics has quoted their 1500-P Monitor/Defibrillator
with Pacemaker. This unit is superior to all competitive devices.
This unit has several features which gives it significant
advantages over competitive units. They are:
1. Defibrillation and pacing through the same pads. This
allows the user to quickly and effectively switch from
pacer to defibrillation. It is also more cost effective in
that only one pad need be stocked or used.
2. Solid state data storage of all events. This allows your
Medical Director or Emergency Room Physician the ability to
review all ECG and pacing data, not just 8 second events
(which are clinically insignificant). This data is stored in
such a manner that it can be retrieved at any time not
within five minutes of turning the unit off. If required
the data can be erased easily and the data card can be
reused. In addition, the unit will provide a "code
summary" as described in your bid.
3. EDIC data review terminal for the Medical Director. This
system allows your physicians to quickly down load and
review all ECG data stored on the data card. This system is
extremely powerful tool for patient treatment and quality
assurance.
4. 12 Simultaneous Lead acquisition and interpretation
(optional). The unit uses the Marquette 12 SL program for 12
lead interpretation. This system is used in a large majority
of Medical institutions in the US, plus every major study of
TPA administration in the field. This option can be added at
a later date. The 1500 is the only device on the market with
this capability.
S. The Responder 1500-P can be set up in Semi -Automatic mode
allowing your system to have both a BLS, First Responder unit
and a full featured ALS defibrillator in one package. The 1500
is the only defibrillator which gives you this flexibility.
