CITY OF COLTON <br />`�oorvora,a� � <br />AGENDA REPORT , <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING MAY 18, 1993 ° ot° <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: MAY 11, 1993 <br />FROM: JOHN HUTTON <br />ACTING PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: DECLARE G & H BUILDERS MOST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER AND AWARD CONTRACT <br />FOR THE WESTSIDE COMMUNITY PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />BACKGROUND <br />On April 6, 1993 staff requested the authority to seek Public Bids for the <br />repair and installation of drainage facilities and other amenities at the <br />Westside Community Park. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On May 11, 1993 bids were received and opened for the above mentioned <br />project. Staff has reviewed the bids verified credentials and substantiated <br />the contractors ability to perform the work. The bids ranged in amounts of <br />$16,949 to $9,926. G & H is the most responsible bidder at $9,926. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />It is the districts intent to fund the drainage facility repair with CFD 87-1 <br />resources and the landscape and related items with Landscape Maintenance <br />District No. 1 Funds. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends the Council declare G & H Builders the <br />bidder, and award the contract for the Westside Community <br />Project to this contractor. <br />Concurrence <br />Report prepared by Joe Baldino II, <br />Project Administrator <br />D3:BIDAGENDA <br />most responsible <br />Park Improvement <br />
