Lavin, Water Utilities Manager <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Agreement with Montecito Memorial Date: April 27, 1993 <br />Park to Allow Temporary Water Services from <br />the City of Loma Linda- <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On <br />On May 28, 1992 Montecito Memorial Park received a conditional use permit for the <br />construction of warehouse facilities. The City of Colton does not have water lines in <br />the area of the warehouse. Therefore, MontecitoMemorialPark has requested approval <br />from the City of Colton for temporary water services from the CityofLoma Linda. <br />DISCUSSION• <br />The City of Colton Public Utilities Department approved the request for temporary water <br />services from the City of Loma Linda upon the condition that Montecito Memorial Park <br />enter into a Deferral Agreement. The Deferral Agreement approves an interim water and <br />sewer service system and defers Montecito Memorial Park's obligations to construct and <br />install specified off-site public improvements for a period of five years with a <br />perpetual renewal if water and sewer service is not available. <br />RECOMMENDATIONt <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the Deferral Agreement with Montecito Memorial <br />Park for the interim water and sewer service system and off-site public improvements. <br />LJ/lj <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE:. <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of <br />Item No. <br />
