kr 7 <br />lam-ation <br />P O P P Y D A Y S <br />Sc ' May 18-22, 1993 <br />WHEREAS, America is the land of freedom, preserved and pro- <br />tected willingly and freely by citizen soldiers; and, <br />WHEREAS, millions who have answered the call to arms have <br />died on the field of battle; and, ^ <br />+ WHEREAS, a nation at peace must be reminded of the price ofa ; <br />war and the debt owed to those who have died in �y <br />war; and, <br />WHEREAS, the red poppy has been designated as a symbol of <br />sacrifice of lives in all wars; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Colton American Legion Post 155 Auxiliary has. <br />Y i pledged to remind America, and the citizens of the mow' <br />City of Colton, annually of this debt through the <br />distributionofthe memorial flower. <br />j NOW, THEREFORE, i, Frank A.
