CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 16,1996 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL „/) <br />APPROVAL: NABAR ENRIQUE MARTINEZ, CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF THE REVISION TO THE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE <br />POSITION OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS COORDINATOR <br />DATE: JULY 9, 1996 <br />BACKGROUND: Attached is the revised job description for the classification of Information Systems Coordinator as <br />recommended by the department head; salary range is $3,001 - $3,649 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Organizational changes in the Finance Department necessitated the revision of the job <br />description. <br />Changes to the job description are as follows: <br />1. Replaced Information Systems Manager with Finance Director under Definition. <br />2. Replaced Information Systems Manager with Finance Director under Supervision Received and Exercised. <br />3. Deleted administration and as part of Micro computer duties relating to the GIS system. <br />4. Replaced Email system with applications and networks under Micro Computer Duties. <br />5. Added Perform troubleshooting and network setup to Micro and Mainframe Computer Duties. <br />6. Deleted Mainframe under hardware experience requirement. <br />7. Added HP9000 K100 to hardware experience requirement. <br />8. Added HP UNIX to software experience requirement. <br />9. Deleted audit, and AfflEY3000 under software experience requirement. <br />10. Deleted the versions 2.0 through 6.0 under software experience requirement. <br />11. Replaced Complete line of Microsoft products with Microsoft Office products under software experience <br />requirement. <br />12. Replaced li endows for Workgroups with Windows 95 and 3.11 under software experience requirement. <br />13. Added Intemet/hrhanet systems to software experience requirement. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approve the revised job description for the position of Information <br />Systems Coordinator as recommended by the Finance Director. <br />Attachment: Job Description <br />Prepared by: Arleen F.
