CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 20, 1996 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, INTERIM CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE FULL TIME <br />POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: AUGUST 12, 1996 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) vacant Police Officer position in the Police Department. This <br />position became vacant on May 8, 1996. Attached is the job description for the classification, salary <br />range is $2,847 - $3,459 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position is being conducted on a continuous basis, <br />and an eligibility list was established on June 4, 1996. The candidate being referred for Council <br />ratification meets the education and experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL US PACT: This is a general fund position and is funded for the 1996-97 fiscal year as <br />follows: Account No. 01-2002-03 (salary) and Account No. 01-2002-10 (salary related benefits). <br />Bernard O.
