I <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 17,1996 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE PART-TII14E <br />POSITIONS (2) OF POLICE CADET IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: DECEMBER 5,1996 <br />BACKGROUND: There are two (2) vacant Police Cadet positions in the Police Department. <br />Attached is the job description for the classification; the hourly rate is $5.25. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position is being conducted on a continuous basis. <br />A written examination was held and an eligibility list established. The candidates being referred for <br />Council ratification meet the education and experience requirements as specified in the job <br />description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: These are grant funded positions and are funded for the 1996-97 fiscal <br />yWasifol'I?s: Account No. 100-6070-6086-1040 (salaries - temporary). <br />Bern d O.
