Bennett <br />Subject: Consideration and Approval for Supporting the "California First" <br />Congressional Leadership Summit sponsored by SCAG <br />Council Meeting of July 16,1996 <br />On August 19, 1996, the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) will <br />be sponsoring a "California First" Congressional Leadership Summit in Los Angeles. <br />The purpose of this Summit is to enable Federal Legislators to interact with Local <br />Elected Officials of Southern California to discuss issues of critical concern, and promote <br />"delegation unity" on Capital Hill for our state of California. <br />In light of this upcoming Summit, I formally request for the Council's consideration and 0 <br />approval of the "California First" Congressional Leadership Summit by adopting the <br />attached resolution.
