r^, <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 5,1996 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, INTERIM CITY MANAGER I� 11/ <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR V t1Q <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE FULL-TIME <br />POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER TRAINEE IN THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: OCTOBER 21,1996 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) vacant Police Officer Trainee position in the Police Department. <br />Attached is the job description for the classification; the salary range is $2,289 - $2,782 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position is being conducted on a continuous basis. <br />Oral examinations for pre -service candidates were held and an eligibility list established. The <br />candidate being referred for Council ratification meets the education and experience requirements as <br />specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is a general fund position and is funded for the 1996-97 fiscal year as <br />follows: Account No. 100-6070-6084-1010 (salary) and Account No. 100-6070-6084-1100 (salary <br />related benefits). <br />Bernard O.
