CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 3, 1996
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
APPROVAL: MALIK D. FREEMAN, INTERIM CITY MANAGER
FROM: JOHN C. HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTORN
SUBJECT: APPROVE RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING AND ADOPTING
THE 5 YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AND
TWENTY YEAR TRANSPORTATION PLAN
DATE: AUGUST 26, 1996
BACKGROUND
As part of the County Wide Measure I Sales Tax initiative program, an annual adoption and
update of the Measure I Five Year Capital Improvement Program and the Twenty Year
Transportation Plan is required.
DISCUS SION/ANALYSIS:
Some of the annual pass through funds supports the maintenance of City streets. With less than
50% of the funding going towards street maintenance, the greater portion is utilized for major
projects identified under the Five Year Capital Improvement and twenty Year Transportation
Plan based upon a priority competitive program.
Staff would offer the attached Exhibit "A" list as its Measure I Five Capital Improvement
Program and also Exhibit `B" a narrative policy statement which will direct the City in its
continued programming of funds for the remaining term of the Measure I Program.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Since the purpose of this report is to provide for an adoption and update of the Measure I Five
Year Capital Improvement Program and Twenty Year Transportation Plan, there is no financial
impact.
John C. Hutton,
Public Works Director
ITEM 6
