_,:. _.. _.. _ _ _. _ X11. <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT (Continued) <br />For the Council Meeting of August 5, 1997 <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing to adopt a report and statement of expenses for the Weed <br />Abatement Program and to consider imposing a lien upon property for <br />payment thereof. <br />Also at this time, in accordance with the Health and Safety Code, a Public Hearing is required <br />to hear any objections of property owners liable to be assessed for the abatement. The report <br />may be modified if deemed necessary. <br />Subsequent to Council action, the Report of Costs and the accompanying Resolution will be <br />forwarded to the Property Tax Division of the San Bernardino County Auditor/Controller- <br />Recorder for collection as a lien on the property. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Approximately 150 parcels were completed, resulting in the assessment of approximately <br />$11,250.00 in administrative fees in addition to the Contractor's charges. <br />These funds will not be collected until 1997-98 except those properties sold or transferred. <br />Revenue Account -100-6710 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends the City Council confirm the statement of expenses and approve the <br />attached Resolution. <br />Attachment: Resolution <br />REPORT PREPARED BY Alan J.
