CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the City Council Meeting of August 19, 1997 <br />To: Honorable Mayor and Council Members <br />Approval: Len Wood, Interim City Manager ;(O <br />From: Timothy R Wilson, P.E., A.I.A., City Engineer's Office <br />Subject: Seventh and La Cadena Signalization Authorization to bid. <br />Date: <br />10, 1997 <br />DUPLICATE <br />BACKGROUND: <br />A signal warrant analysis established a need for signalization of this intersection of Seventh and La <br />Cadena in the City of Colton. On that basis, plans have been prepared for the signalization of the <br />intersection.. The seismic retrofit of the pedestrian overcrossing and the special signal mounting on the <br />overcrossing required coordination and modification of the original plans now complete. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The project includes signalization of the 5 way intersection, installation of striping and handicap access <br />ramps. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />No alternatives are proposed. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The Engineer's estimate remains $100,000 for the project's construction, which is the project's approved <br />modified construction budget. This project is funded in account 457-6800-6817-3890, the Capital <br />Improvement Fund. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION• <br />Staff requests Council Authorization to take the project to bid. <br />Item No. 16 <br />
