CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of August 19, 1997 <br />To: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />Approval: Len Wood, Interim City Manager ,R <br />From: Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Subject: Parks Division Administration <br />Date: July 21, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission July 16, 1997, by way <br />of a unanimous vote, recommends that the City Council investigate the feasibility of <br />merging parks and parkway landscape maintenance with the Neighborhood Services <br />Department. It is felt that since the Neighborhood Services Department has the <br />responsibility of scheduling all parks and fields, the Neighborhood Services Department <br />would be in a better position to schedule and perform maintenance at these facilities. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Commission recommends that Council investigate the feasibility of merging the parks <br />and parkway landscape maintenance division with the Neighborhood Services <br />Department. <br />Item No. 25 <br />
