Gaytan, for Karl E. 6uytan <br />Subject: Consider New City Policy Promoting City Business <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 2,1997 <br />This is a formal request for the Council's consideration and approval of enacting a new City <br />policy promoting City business. In the interest of promoting good customer service and <br />developing good will throughout the business community, this matter is being presented to <br />Council at this time. The intent of this request is to have the City adopt a policy that redefines <br />the concept of excellent public service. <br />Recommendation directing staff to initiate the concept of providing service to the public five <br />days per week by having City Hall open for service Monday through Friday from Sam to 5pm, <br />with the exception of the regular legal holidays. Further recommend that staff draft a plan of <br />action and present to the City Council at the next regular meeting in December 1997. <br />Thank you for your consideration and consensus on this matter. <br />KEG:adf <br />
