iA <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-127-97 <br />1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />2 ADOPTING THE FIVE YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />AND TWENTY YEAR TRANSPORTATION PLAN <br />3 <br />4 BIE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, as <br />5 <br />follows: <br />6 <br />WHEREAS, San Bernardino County voters approved passage of Measure I in November, 1989, <br />7 <br />authorizing San Bernardino Associated Governments, acting as the San Bernardino County * <br />8 Transportation Authority, to jmpose a one-half of one percent retail transaction and use tax applicable in <br />9 the incorporated and unincorporated territory of the County of San Bernardino and <br />10 WHEREAS, revenue from the tax can only be used for transportation improvement and traffic <br />11 management programs authorized in the Expenditure Plans set for the Ordinance No. 89-1 of the <br />12 Authority, and <br />13 WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance require each local jurisdiction receiving revenue <br />14 from the tax to expend those funds pursuant to Five Year Capital Improvement Program and a Twenty <br />15 Year Transportation Plan adopted by Resolution of the local jurisdiction, and <br />16 WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance also require that each local jurisdiction annually <br />17 adopt and update the Five and Twenty Year Pians, <br />18 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton, State of California, hereby adopts <br />19 the Measure I Five Year Capital Improvement Program and the Twenty Year Transportation Plan, as <br />20 shown on Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" respectively. <br />21 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, this 16th day of December. 1997 <br />22 <br />23 <br />KARL GAYTAN <br />24 Mayor <br />25 <br />26 ATTEST: <br />27 <br />28 CAROLINA P.
