. _._._ _.. ........... . <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of July 1, 1997 / <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: GRACIE HARMON, ACTING CITY MANAGE if <br />FROM: BERNIE LUNSFORD, CHIEF OF POLICE <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST TO RENEW CONTRACT WITH <br />ALL CITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INC. -- CROSSING GUARDS <br />DATE: JUNE 19, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City of Colton Police Department and the Colton Unified School District entered into an <br />agreement to contract school crossing guard service through All City Management Services, Inc. <br />during the 1994/95 fiscal year. The yearly cost was split 50/50 between agencies. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the success of contracting crossing guard service during the previous fiscal year <br />and has determined that this is the most effective means of providing this service. All City <br />Management has increased their hourly fee 6 1/2%. This increase is realized as 3 1/4% to both the <br />City of Colton and the School District. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />None. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />$60,379.00 - Funds have been allocated in the 1997/98 Police Budget. <br />i <br />' e a L u n o'd <br />Chief of Pdke <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval to amend the original contract allowing the increase and extend the <br />term of agreement for the 1997/98 year beginning July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998. <br />Report prepared by Bruce Rauch, Lieutenant. <br />Page 1 of 1 Item # 6 <br />
