CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT (Continued) <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF October 4 1994 <br />SUBJECT: AUTHORIZE ELECTRIC UTILITY DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />ADDED FACILITIES AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA <br />EDISON COMPANY FOR THIRD 66KV BREAKER AT THE COLTON <br />SUBSTATION <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />The City has to pay a one time cost of approximately $17,000, plus 34% for an income tax <br />component of contribution, and pay 1.6% of the rest of the cost ($546,000) per month, per the <br />agreement. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />All the necessary measures will be taken to minimize any environmental impact caused by this <br />project. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the Electric Utility Director to execute the <br />agreement and make a one-time payment immediately after the execution of the agreement. <br />City Manager's Concurrence: <br />Report prepared by: Nitin Modi, Principal Electrical Engineer <br />Page 2 of 2 Item No. <br />
