1 SECTION 2: If any provisions of this Ordinance or application thereof to any persr-- " <br />2 or circumstances is held invalid, this invalidity shall not affect other applications of this <br />3 <br />Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or applications, and to this <br />4 <br />end, the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable. This Ordinance shall be <br />5 <br />6 liberally construed to achieve the purposes of this Ordinance and to preserve its validity. <br />7 SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause <br />8 same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after adoption in a <br />9 newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California and the Ordinance <br />10 <br />shall take effect thirty (30) days after its enactment in accordance with the provisions of <br />11 <br />California law. <br />12 <br />13 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this _th day of , 1997. <br />14 <br />15 <br />_16 <br />17 Karl E.
