RESOLUTION NO. R- 46-97 <br />1 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />2 OF COLTON, PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF A <br />3 HISTORICAL LANDMARK WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />COLTON. <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton has an Ordinance establishing rules <br />6 and regulations governing the designation and perpetuation of historic <br />7 and scenic properties (Ordinance Number 0-11-87); and <br />8 WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission did consider at <br />a duly and legally held public hearing the designation of the historic <br />9 <br />landmark; and, <br />10 WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission, having studied <br />11 and researched the said designation, recommends approval of said <br />12 designation based on the finding that the structure has significant <br />13 character, interest, and value as part of the development and scenic <br />14 heritage of the City of Colton; and <br />15 WHEREAS, said property to be designated is delineated as <br />follows: <br />16 <br />Landmark #47 555 N. La Cadena Drive, Colton, CA; <br />17 <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held by the City <br />18 Council on June 3, 1997, on the aforesaid recommendation of the Historic <br />19 Preservation Commission. <br />20 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />21 City of Colton that, based on the above findings, the structure located at <br />22 the aforementioned site is historically significant and should be <br />23 designated as a permanent historic property in the City of Colton. <br />24 PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 3`d day of June, 1997. <br />25 <br />26 <br />KARL E.
