La Cadena Drive as Historic Landmark # 47. DATE: May 21, 1997 BACKGROUND: On November 13, 1996, the Historic Preservation Commission approved a recommendation to the City Council for the designation of 555 N. La Cadena Drive (a residence) as Historic Landmark #47. DISCUSSIONLANALY$IS: The residence is a significant historical structure under the Construction/Architectural theme. It was constructed in 1905 and is a good example of the Queen Anne Victorian Era. The Historic Preservation Commission held a Public Hearing on November 13, 1996, to consider a recommendation to the City Council that the residence be designated as a historic structure, Landmark #47. ALTERNATIVES: The City Council has the authority not to designate the residence as a historic structure. FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this request. The residence is owned and main m by Lisa E�{Shy oza. ora, Cgfnmunitypevelopment Director None. The designation of the residence as a historic structure is categorically exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act Section 15308. RECOMMENDATION: Based on the Historic Preservation Commission's review of the historically eligible site, and its recommendation to the City Council, staff recommends approval of the designation of 555 N.
