Hutton <br />Director of Public Work-,�o <br />SUBJECT: Approval of the Project Change Orders and Final Acceptance/Notice of <br />Completion For The 1996/97 Pavement Rehabilitation Project <br />DATE: February 10, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The 1996/97 Pavement Rehabilitation Project consisted of a 2" asphalt concrete <br />overlay on various streets in the City. <br />The project was approved and awarded to Matich Corporation at an estimated cost of <br />$862,086.20. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The contractor has completed the work as specified in the contract on January 30, <br />1997. The records indicated that this project was completed within the allowable <br />working days. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This project is funded by Gas Tax, Host City Fees and Measure I Funds in the amount <br />of $976,983.00, which was approved by the City Council on February 6, 1996. The <br />total amount of the construction contract, including change orders is $832,464.65. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends final acceptance of the 1996/97 Pavement Rehabilitation Project in <br />the amount of $832,464.65.
