t <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MF.F.T><NC nF wr A urru IQ tnnn <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />APPROVAL: Malik Dantala Freeman, City Manag <br />FROM: Gracie Fernandez Harmon, Personnel Director P 41 <br />SUBJECT: Ratification Of Employee Appointment To The Full-time Position Of <br />Firefighter Specialist In The Fire Department <br />DATE: March 10, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) vacant Firefighter Specialist position in the Fire Department. <br />Attached is the job description for the classification; salary range is $2,708- $3,293 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS• Recruitment for said position was conducted in coordination with <br />four other local agencies. Practical examinations were held by the Regional Fire Training Center at <br />Crafton Hills College. Written examinations were administered by the City of San Bernardino and <br />an eligibility list established. The candidate being referred for Council ratification meets the <br />education and experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />FUNDING AVAILABILITY• This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year <br />1996-97 budget funded as follows: Account No. 100-6090-6091-1010 (salary) and Account No. <br />100.6090-6091-1100 (salary related benefits). <br />Thomas T.
