Both Kerry Forsythe, Sanbag Assistant Director and I arrived <br />about 9:00 a.m. He spoke on other agenda items. We sat together and conferred on our project. He left and talked <br />with some CTC staff. Later Nick Vargas who has the PI 16 program for the CTC called me aside (I amsure with <br />Kerry's help). He reviewed their concerns. I answered all his questions. We agreed that the tough part of the <br />process is getting the amended program constructed before June 30, 1997. I agreed it was tight but said we should <br />be able to get.authori - advertise from the Ci Council and Caltrans and gd3rertise before March is over. Take <br />_bids in Aprils. BRj�i an mP �f j.��; ay the Contractor and request all reimbursements ore e <br />0 Junf e. He seemed satisfied. I don't know w or did, but after he a ems on P116 <br />r jects, he reviewed the Colton Amendment. The Chairman said "I believe we are ready to approve it." He <br />called for a vote. It was unanimous. He called my name and asked if I needed to say anything more. I said, "Mr. <br />Chairman, you and the Commission have voted unanimously for our project. I know when I have a deal. Please <br />allow me to express our thanks for your action. We'll go to work. Thank you." The chairman acknowledgiiiny <br />comment, smiled and went to the next item. <br />We will await the transmittal of the amended action and supplemental agreement to discuss details but as you will <br />no fmn rhe g nc a nnr unding,is $17� 2_,04& We have already been reimbursed about $50,000.
