CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />DUPLICATE <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 20,1997 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />APPROVAL: Malik Dantala Freeman, City Manage, <br />FROM: Gracie Fernandez Harmon, Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: Claims Against the City Submitted by: Gerald Chaffin, Kathy Gamache, <br />Patricia Garcia and Isabel Roman - Recommend Denial <br />DATE: May 13,1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In accordance with the procedures adopted to insure proper and efficient handling of Liability <br />' Claims against the City of Colton, the attached reports have been received from the City's Liability <br />Claims Administrator. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Claimants have each filed a claim against the City. Evaluation of these claims reflects that these <br />cases would be highly questionable or no liability on the part of the City of Colton. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Not applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the above -listed claims be denied to commence the Statute of Limitations. <br />GFH:amv <br />Item No. 5 <br />
