La Cadena Drive as Historic Landmark # 47. <br />I DATE: May 13, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On November 13, 1996, the Historic Preservation Commission approved a <br />recommendation to the City Council for the designation of 555 N. La Cadena Drive (a <br />residence) as Historic Landmark #47. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The residence is a significant historical structure under the Construction/Architectural <br />theme. It was constructed in 1905 and is a good example of the Queen Anne Victorian <br />Era. The Historic Preservation Commission held a Public Hearing on November 13, <br />1996, to consider a recommendation to the City Council that the residence be <br />designated as a historic structure, Landmark #47. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />Should the City Council not wish to pursue the designation of this residence as a <br />historic structure, it does not need to set a public hearing. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />There is no financial impact associated with this request. The residence is owned and <br />maintg4ed by the agoicant, Lisa Espinoza. <br />Dlavii . Zamora, COmmuy(ity Development Director <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. The designation of the residence as a historic structure is categorically exempt <br />under the California Environmental Quality Act Section 15308. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends setting for Public Hearing, for the Regular City Council Meeting of <br />June 3, 1997, consideration to designate 555 N.
