CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For City Council Meeting of NOVEMBER 18, 1997 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: Len Wood, Interim City Manager ao <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Interim Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: Approval of the "Sideletter" with the Police Management Association and <br />compensation for the Executive Unit. <br />DATE: November 6, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: The side letter agreement between the Police Management Association and <br />the City expired on June 30, 1996. The Executive Unit has submitted compensation requests to <br />the City Manager. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Representatives of the Police Management Association and the <br />Executive Unit have reached an agreement with the City on compensation issues. The agreement <br />provides for a payment of a "one time bonus" of $200, which is the same provision agreed to for <br />the Police Rank and File Unit and the other employee groups. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The cost of the agreement is $800.00 for Police Management and <br />$2,600 for the Executive Unit. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council ratify the sideletter reached <br />with the Police Management Association and approve the $200 one time bonus for the <br />Executive Unit. <br />Sideletter.doc <br />Item # 8 <br />
