Parrish, Senior Program Manager f \ <br />SUBJECT: Professional Services Contract - GTS & Associates <br />Change Order #2 - For Infrastructure and Traffic Mitigation <br />Improvements Related to the S.B. County Medical Center <br />DATE: September 26, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />A professional services contract to GTS and Associates for engineering services <br />related to the Infrastructure and Traffic- Mitigation Improvements surrounding the <br />County Medical Center Replacement Project, in the amount of $25,000 was approved <br />in fiscal year 1996/97. In June 1997, change order number one in the amount of <br />$26,325 was approved. _ <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The need for additional engineering work on the above project has become necessary <br />due to drainage concerns brought to the attention of Colton and County of San <br />Bernardino staff by Caltrans, and the complexity of the Pepper/Valley Intersection <br />Relocation project. Diligence, perseverance and cooperation between GTS and <br />County staff and consulting engineers has provided an acceptable solution to the <br />aforementioned drainage concerns. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />None. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The request for change order number two is in the amount of $39,257. Funding is <br />available through the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Colton and <br />the County of San Bernardino for Infrastructure and Traffic Mitigation Improvements <br />related to the San Bernardino County Medical Center Replacement Project.
