SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FOR EXHIBIT "B"
The original resolution R-01-96 did not specifically include anything but the Curb, Gutter and the
Match up AC Paving, and the intent that the existing drainage problem be mitigated.
There are items which must be included, at a minimum, to accomplish the originally stated goal of
the property owners.
However, there are additional items which were not included in the original Resolution anticipated
costs, but that must be done per city & State minimum standards.
• To mitigate the drainage problem, the reconstruction processes of Removing Existing AC and
Sawcutting AC must be done. There is also some additional Excavation & Embankment
required. In addition, the raising or lowering of the existing street sections will always involve
the adjustment of any valves &/or manholes in the path of the reconstruction.
• Whenever Curb & Gutter is installed, the corresponding minimum number of ADA and State
approved Handicap Ramps must be installed.
• The proposed Sidewalk and Driveway Approaches may be eliminated from the plans with no
adverse impact. The cost savings would be $10,256.40 & $2,120.00 respectively.
• It is possible that the final costs may be slightly lower that the anticipated costs as noted, due
to the fact that the figures are based upon paper estimates rather than actual field construction
costs, which will be determined upon construction.
