La Cadena Dr.
Colton, CA 92324
Ladies & Gentlemen:
Christian greetings, xt has come to my attention that three orange county area cities have
agreed to pool together their resources to pay for an "independent', look at Taonninas'
books. (See attached 10/1/97 O.C. Register article "Cities to audit trash hauler")
Since Colton was advised by legal counsel (Thomas, Mort, Prosser & Knudsen.) back on July
1, 1997, to "conducl'a review ofTaormina's performance under the agreement" I feel that
it would be expedient and save thousands of taxpayer dollars if we agree to join with these
three Orange county cities in pooling resources, in keeping with our legal counsel's
recommendation and goals.
To this end, I respectfully request that this item be placed on our next Council Meeting
agenda for action. It is a reasonable request and would be strongly supported by the Colton
residents and taxnaverc.
cc: Public ]File, All Media
Item No. 19
