CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of September 16, 1997 <br />To: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />Approval: Len Wood, Interim City Manager <br />Randy Anstine, Neighborhood Services <br />From: Carolyn Jones, Child Care Manager <br />Subject: Ratification of Employee Appointment to the Full -Time <br />Position of Child Care Site Supervisor <br />Date: September 9, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />There is one (1) vacant Child Care Site Supervisor position in the Neighborhood <br />Services Department. Attached is the job description for the classification; the salary <br />range is $1,690 -$2,053 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Recruitment for said position was conducted and an eligibility list established. The <br />candidate being referred for Council ratification meets the education and experience <br />requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for this approved grant funded position in the fiscal <br />year 1997-98 budget is funded as follows: Account No. 206-7200-7202-1010 (Salary) <br />and Account No. 206-7200-7202-1100 (salary and related benefits). <br />r <br />Randy Anstine,"�fsleigh.Services Director <br />MISSION CRITICAL: This position is required to maintain effective operations in the <br />Child Care Division. As recipients of funds from the State of California Department <br />of Education, we are required to adhere to regulations regarding staffing of childcare <br />sites. The law states that each licensed site must have a fully qualified Site <br />Supervisor on site.
