CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 16, 1997 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />r <br />APPROVAL: LEN WOOD, INTERIM CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: JOHN C. HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: FINAL ACCEPTANCE t NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR <br />THE C.D.B.G. PROJECT NO. 104-21705 <br />DATE: September 8, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This was a Community Block Grant Project consisting of pavement rehabilitation <br />of the streets inbound by Olive, Mt. Vernon and Grant. The contract was <br />awarded to Matich Corporation in the amount of $169,076.45. The San <br />Bernardino County Department of Economic and Community Development <br />(E.C.D.) approved and authorized a notice to proceed with the project and <br />allocated reimbursablefunds in the amount of $67,230. <br />On March 18, 1997 Change Order 1 was approved by Council Action in the <br />amount of $137,646.26, which included additional material cost to complete the <br />work. On May 14, 1997 funding was increased by Council Action in the amount <br />of $37,476.40 to provide for (5) five additional streets that fell short in the <br />original C.D.B.G. Project 104-21705. <br />SUMMARY: <br />The contractor has completed the work as specified in the contract on August <br />21, 1997, meeting all the requirements of the plans and specifications. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This Project is funded by C.D.B.G. funds and Local Capital Improvement Funds. <br />The total amount of the construction contract including change orders is <br />$242,352.66 <br />
