Code Enforcement Officer <br />April 21, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br />CUSTOMER SERVICE IMPACT <br />The request to fill this position is in response to a high volume of Requests for Service <br />received by code enforcement staff, to investigate substandard and dangerous conditions. <br />Due to the large number of requests, and the need to address them in a timely manner, <br />candidates interviewed were informed that the person hired would be required to work a five <br />day work week, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the ratification of the employee appointment, <br />to the full time position of Code Enforcement Officer, as recommended by the Community <br />Development Director. <br />DRZ/kd <br />Attachment: Job Description <br />
