Garcia, City Manage <br />APPROVAL: Randy Anstine, Neighborhoodervices Director gar. �-' <br />FROM: Carolyn Jones, Child Care Manager <br />SUBJECT: Ratification Of Employee Appointments To The Part -Time <br />Positions For Three Community Childcare Teacher's Helper <br />DATE: January 22, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: There are three (3) vacant Child Care Teacher's Helper positions in the <br />Neighborhood Services Department. Attached is the job description for the classification; the salary <br />is based on an hourly rate of $5.50 <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS Recruitment for said position was conducted and an eligibility list <br />established. The candidate being referred for Council ratification meets the education and experience <br />requirements as specified in the job description. <br />[EINANCIAL 1ARACT: The funding for this approved grant funded position for fiscal year 1997- <br />98 has a budget account no,206-7200-7202-1040-0000-000 <br />Anstine, eighborhood Services Director <br />MISSION CRITICAL: This position is required to maintain effective operations in the Child Care <br />Division. As recipients of funds from the State of California Department of Education, we are <br />required to adhere to regulations regarding staffing of childcare sites. The law states that each <br />licensed site must have sufficient qualified staff to maintain adequate adult f child ratios. This <br />ratification will fulfill this licensing requirement. <br />EXPECTED FILL DATE: February 10, 1998. <br />Item # 15 <br />
