ORDINANCE NO. 0-14-9T,' <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AMENDING,10.04.130 ITHE COLTON MUNICIPAL <br />CODE RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS ON CITY STREETS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Section 10.04.130 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended to read in <br />its entirety as follows: <br />"Section 16.1 of Article XV adopted— <br />Speed limits designated. <br />There is adopted 'a section to be numbered" Section 16.a. Article XV. <br />Section 16.a. Increasing State Speed Limit in Certain Zones.It hereby determined <br />upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the speed limit permitted by <br />State Law upon the following streets is less than is necessary for safe operation of vehicles <br />thereon by reason of the designation and sign -posting of said streets as through highways <br />and (or) by reason of. widely spaced intersections and it is hereby declared that the prima <br />facie speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein <br />designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof: <br />"Section 16A: The following Speed Limits are designated: <br />1. Agua Mansa Road 45 MPH <br />from Riverside Avenue to Rancho Avenue <br />2. Barton Road 50 MPH <br />from Hilltop Drive to Washington Street <br />3. "C" Street 35 MPH <br />from Meridian Avenue to Colton Avenue <br />4. Colton Avenue 40 MPH <br />from "E' Street to North City Limits <br />5. Cooley Drive 40 MPH <br />from Cooley Lane to Washington Street <br />6. Cooley Drive 40 MPH <br />from Mt.
