CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 219 1998 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manage <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Directory .dd�. <br />SUBJECT: Correction to Resolution No. R-26-98, Regarding the Bargaining Unit <br />and Salary Rate for Finance Assistant <br />DATE: July 13, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND:. During its regular meeting of June 16, 1998, the City Council approved and <br />adopted certain full-time classifications and their basic compensation rates for FY 1998/99. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:. The Finance Director, with the City Manager's approval asked <br />Personnel to study the position of Finance Assistant in the Finance Department. This position was <br />studied as requested, submitted via resolution and approved by the City Council, however, this <br />position was inadvertently placed in the wrong bargaining unit and with a salary that was off by <br />$28.00 per month because of the previously submitted schedule. The amended resolution correction <br />is attached hereto. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This increase will not affect the 1998/99 FY budget, as funds have <br />been properly allocated for this classification. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: That the Mayor and Council approve and adopt the amendment to <br />Resolution No. R-53-98, establishing the correction to the bargaining unit and salary range for the <br />position of Finance Assistant, which is included in the Finance Department's approved budget for FY <br />1998/99. <br />ATTACHMENT; Amendment to Resolution No. R-53-98. <br />REPORT PREPARED BY: Terri Truitt <br />Item # 23 <br />WDATA\AGENDA\AGENUSO.DOC <br />
