(8) Grant - Authorize to apply and accept a California Department of Education Library Local <br />Assistance Grant in the Amount of $4,000 for FY 1998/99. <br />(9) Grant - Authorize to apply and accept a California Library Services Act "California <br />Literacy Campaign" Grant in the Amount of approximately $17,000 for FY 1998/99. <br />(10) Personnel -Approve Revision of Policy 4.05.360, Method of Filling Vacancies. <br />(11) Personnel - Authorize the City to obtain State Summary Criminal History Information for <br />Employment, Licensing or Certification purposes and Direct the Personnel Director to <br />establish Policies and Procedures to conduct Background Checks, RESOLUTION NOS. <br />R-24-98 and R-25-98. <br />(12) MOU - Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Colton <br />and the Colton Firefighter's Association. <br />(13) Personnel - Approve Setting basic Compensation Rates for Full -Time Classifications of <br />Employment established as of Fiscal Year 1997-1998, repealing Resolution no. R-26-98. <br />(14) Public Works - Final approval and acceptance of Tract No. 15784 - GFR Enterprises, Inc. <br />- located at Hunter Rd. and Mill Street. <br />(15) CDBG - Reprogramming of $51,900 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />Funds FY1997/98 from the Colton Contingency Account to four (4) CDBG eligible Projects, <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-27-98. <br />(16) Utilities - Approve Thermoenergy Corporation Demonstration Project at Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant. <br />(17) Bid - Award of Bid for the Rehabilitation of Well #22 to Layne Christensen Company in the <br />Amount of $55,414.00. <br />(18) Travel - Approve Travel for Utility Director Tom Clarke to attend the California Municipal <br />Utilities Association Annual Conference from March 30, through April 3, 1998 in Monterey, <br />California.
