_� <br />� <br />L.� <br />1.4.04 Time to Sign Contract <br />If the propvsal is accepted, the undersigned agrees to execute the <br />required contract and furnish the required bonds within fifteen (15) <br />calendar days frorn the date of Notice of Award. <br />*Strike out inapplicable ones. <br />1.4.05 Errors in Bid <br />The undersigned has carefully checked all words and figures inserted <br />in this bid and that the undersigned will not be released on account <br />of the errors of the undersigned in the preparation of this bid. <br />1.4.06 Withdrawal of Bid <br />The bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn <br />for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the date of bid <br />opening. <br />1.4.07 Certification of Workers' Compensation Insurance <br />The Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded shall sign and fi2e <br />with the awarding body the following certification prior to pezforming <br />the work of the Contract. <br />"I am aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the Labor Code <br />which required every emplvyer to be insured against liability for <br />Workers' Compensation or to undertake self-insurance in <br />accordance -�ith the provisions of the Code, and I will comply <br />with such provision before commencing the performance of 'the <br />Work of the Contract'." <br />1.4.08 Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages <br />It is agreed by the Contractor and the Owner that, in case all <br />construction called for under the�contract completion schedule herein <br />as extended by delays approved by the Owner, damage will be sustained <br />by the Owner, and, that it is, and will be impracticable or extremely <br />difficult to ascertain and determine the actual damages that Ow-ner <br />will sustain in the event of and by reason of such delay. It is <br />therefore agreed that such damages shall be presumed to be in the <br />amount of ($100.00) per day and that the Contractor will pay to the <br />Owner, or Owner may retain from amounts otherwise payable to <br />Contractor, said amount for each day after failure to meet the <br />requirements of the contract's completion schedule. <br />In accordance with Governrnent Code Section 4215, the Contractor shall <br />��not be assessed liquidated damages for any delay in completion of the <br />_ project if such delay is caused by failure of the OWner to provide for <br />removal or relocation of existing utility facilities. <br />� <br />1.4-5 <br />
