CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 195 1998
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY CPVNCIL
APPROVAL: Henry T. Garcia, City Manag
FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Director't
SUBJECT: Resolution to PERS to Determine Industrial Disability Retirement for Police Officer
Victor Paul
DATE: May 4, 1998
BACKGROUND: On March 25, 1998, Police Officer Paul was declared permanent and stationary by
Qualified Medical Examiner Ronald N. Kent, M.D., Ph.D. Primary disabling condition is post traumatic
head syndrome and temporomandibular joint syndrome (neurological injury). The first payment for the period
May 16, 1998 through May 31, 1998 will be $743. CalPERS will reimburse the City for these payments.
iPatricZkG.Acting Police Chief
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council adopt the attached resolution determining that Police Officer
Paul be retired for industrial disability effective May 15, 1998.
Attachment: Resolution
Prepared by: Arleen F.
