CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For City Council Meeting of November 17, 1998 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Co cil <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manage <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Director,�, <br />SUBJECT: Revision of the Memorandums of Understanding (MOD's) And Adopt The <br />Resolutions Between the City of Colton and the SBPEA (General and <br />Management/Confidential Units) <br />DATE: November 10, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: At the September 15, 1998 City Council Meeting, the Council adopted the <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the SBPEA. There is a need to make some minor <br />revisions to the adopted MOU. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: After the City Council adopted the Memorandum of Understanding <br />with SBPEA. the following changes needed to be made: <br />1. Add (2) two additional part-time employees, that should have been eligible for prorated <br />contributions. <br />2. Adopt separate resolutions for the General Unit and the Management/Confidential Unit. <br />3. Add additional language to the MOU on being open on Fridays. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: All of these changes will have a minimal impact. The actual health <br />benefit subsidy for the (2) additional employees is $5,496 per year. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council approve and adopt the attached <br />MOD's and Resolutions with the SBPEA (Management/Confidential and General Units); <br />making minor changes to the MOD's. <br />Prepared By: Vicki Porter <br />Attachment: Exhibit A's with Resolutions (General) (Management/Confidential) <br />Resolutions (2) <br />11/10/98 <br />agd1111798 General MC <br />Item # 10 <br />
