HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: FINAL ACCEPTANCE/NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR SEVENTH AND <br />LA CADENA SIGNALIZATION PROJECT. <br />DATE: October 13, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Seventh and La Cadena Signalization Project, consists of a five (5) way signal intersection <br />installation, pavement striping and handicap access ramps. The contract was awarded to <br />Sierra Pacific Electrical Contracting with a bid of $129,144.00. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The Contractor completed the work, as specified in the contract, on September 17, 1998, <br />meeting all the requirements of the plans and specifications. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The Engineer's estimate was $100,000 for the project's construction. The total amount of the <br />construction contract is $129,144.00. This project is funded in account 457-6899-6817-3890, <br />the Capital Improvement Fund. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />• Staff recommends final acceptance of the Seventh and La Cadena Signalization Project, in the <br />amount of $129,144.00 and authorize finalizing a Notice of Completion for this project. <br />• Staff recommends that Council approve the execution and recordation of this document. <br />JCH/JK/bjw <br />Report Prepared by James R.
