STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: 104-20505,21605 AND <br />21805, SOUTHERLY OF INTERSTATE 10 AND EASTERLY OF RANCHO <br />AVENUE <br />DATE: October 13, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This was a Community Development Block Grant Funded Program consisting of three (3) <br />C.D.B.G. projects, 104-205005, 104-21605 and 104-21805. These projects consist of <br />pavement rehabilitation, construction of curb, gutter and sidewalk. The contract was awarded <br />to Matich Corporation in the amount of $493,073.75. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The Contractor completed the work, as specified in the contract, on September 17, 1998, <br />meeting all the requirements of the plans and specifications. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The project is funded by C.D.B.G. funds and Local Capital Improvement Funds. The total <br />amount of the construction contract including change orders is $466,214.99. The project is <br />funded in multiple accounts: <br />457-6550-6553-3890 <br />457-6550-6556-3890 <br />457-6550-6554-3890 <br />457-6500-6501-3890 <br />800-8008-3890-0107 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />• Staff recommends final acceptance of the C.D.B.G. Projects, 104-20505, 21605 and 21805 in the <br />amount of $466,219.44 and authorize finalizing a Notice of Completion for this project. <br />• Staff recommends that Council approve the execution and recordation of this document. <br />JCH/JK/bjw <br />Report Prepared by James R.
