CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF September 1, 1998 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Co ncil <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manage <br />FROM: Patrick G. Cr a Chief of Police <br />SUBJECT: Request for re uitment and ratification of employee appointment in the full time <br />position of Police Captain in the Police Department. <br />DATE: August 24, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) vacant Captain position in the Police Department. Attached <br />is the job description of the classification; the salary range is $6081.00 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position will be conducted and an eligibility <br />list established upon Council approval. The candidate chosen will meet the education and <br />experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding availability for this approved general fund position in the <br />fiscal year 1998/99 budget funded as follows: Account No. 100-6070-6072-1030 (salary) and <br />Account No. 100-6070-6072-1100 (salary related benefits). <br />- a4'0.'.
